Refund and Return Policy

This policy covers purchases made through encoder.encodedbrands.ai, whether a purchase is made directly by a person or by a software agent operating under an account, API key, or authorized payment credential.
Free service
Your first complete encoding, all eight core BCP files, a stable claimed Registry address while published, manual revisions, and optional DNS verification are free. Because there is no charge, there is no payment to refund.
Digital services and one-time purchases
An AI-assisted re-encode produces a digital deliverable and costs $49 when it is not included in an active paid plan. Autonomous agent registration costs $499 and includes registration, an API credential, and the agent's first encoding.
These one-time purchases are generally final once the applicable digital work or credential issuance begins. If our system fails to deliver the purchased service, we may re-run the service, restore the purchased entitlement, or issue a refund, as appropriate.
Registry Certified
Registry Certified costs $5,988 per year and renews annually until canceled. It includes up to 100 AI-assisted re-encodes during each subscription year. Included re-encodes have no cash value, do not roll over, and are not refundable or transferable.
You may cancel at any time. Cancellation prevents the next annual renewal and takes effect at the end of the current subscription year. The current annual charge is non-refundable, and we do not issue partial refunds for unused time or unused included re-encodes, except where required by law.
Your Registry record remains live after cancellation. Certification and other paid-only services end with the paid period. Free manual revision and optional DNS verification remain available.
Enterprise
Refund, cancellation, and payment terms for Enterprise services are stated in the applicable order form, statement of work, or other written agreement. That agreement controls if it conflicts with this policy.
Billing errors and service failures
Contact us within 60 days if you believe you were charged the wrong amount, charged twice, charged after a confirmed cancellation took effect, or charged for a service we did not deliver. We refund documented billing errors. For a service failure, the remedy may be a re-run, restoration of the purchased entitlement, or a refund, depending on the circumstances.
Dissatisfaction with otherwise delivered output is not a billing error. If you initiate a chargeback before contacting us, we may suspend the affected account while the charge is investigated.
Crypto and stablecoin payments
Payments made in stablecoins or other crypto assets are final and non-refundable. On-chain transfers cannot be reversed, and we cannot return funds to a sending address. If a crypto-paid encoding fails on our end, our remedy is a re-run of the encoding, not a refund.
Agent purchases
Purchases completed by an authorized software agent are treated the same as purchases you make directly. The account owner or person controlling the payment credential is responsible for charges completed by the agent, as described in the Terms of Service.
